Carrier Billing Adjustments

Important Carrier Notice

Shipping rates are based on information provided when a label is created. After a shipment enters a carrier's network, the carrier may verify weight, dimensions, addresses, packaging, declared value, service level, and other shipment details. If differences are identified, the carrier may assess additional charges or issue credits. Examples include dimensional weight adjustments, address corrections, residential or commercial reclassification, delivery area surcharges, additional handling, oversized package fees, fuel surcharge adjustments, customs-related billing, and other carrier-authorized charges. Shiparoo does not determine these adjustments. Any carrier-issued charges or credits may be applied to the customer's account after the carrier completes its billing review.

Key Covered Items & Examples:

  • Dimensional weight (Dim Weight) re-measurements
  • Address corrections & missing apartment/suite updates
  • Residential or commercial address reclassifications
  • Delivery area surcharges & remote area fees
  • Additional handling, fuel surcharges & oversized fees
  • Customs duties, taxes, and import/export charges
Carrier Audit & Adjustment NoticeShiparoo transmits exact carrier audit data. Carrier adjustments are determined directly by the carrier network (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL) upon parcel scan and audit.
7

Shipment Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing accurate weights, dimensions, addresses, declared values, and shipment information. Inaccurate information may result in additional carrier charges or shipment delays.

8

Verification Tools

Shiparoo may provide address validation, package validation, surcharge notifications, AI-powered recommendations, and shipment verification tools. These tools are intended to improve shipment accuracy but do not guarantee that carrier adjustments will never occur.

9

Billing Disputes

Shiparoo may assist customers in submitting disputes regarding carrier-issued adjustments; however, final billing decisions remain solely with the carrier.

10
